Promotions & Discounts
As an educational charity, we have to be mindful of the rising costs of running Harewood, and we set prices carefully to ensure that we can offer an enjoyable day out for our Members and visitors, and keep Harewood open for all to enjoy. That said, we also want to make sure everyone can join the fun, so here are some ways to make your visit even more accessible:
Visiting Harewood with your dog
Harewood offers plenty of space for dogs and their owners to enjoy time together. With lots of areas to sniff and explore, there are wonderful walks for the whole family, especially our four-legged friends. We recommend the Three Parks Walk, a stroll along the Lakeside Path towards the Bothy Teahouse and Walled Garden, or enjoying the views from the Terrace Garden before heading down to explore the ruins of Gawthorpe Hall on Sun Sides.
Dogs are warmly welcomed in designated outdoor areas across the site. They are welcome to accompany you into the Courtyard Café servery to place your order, after which we ask that you enjoy your food in the dog-friendly seating areas (both inside and out).
To help protect the historic interiors and ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests, dogs (with the exception of Assistance Dogs) are not permitted in the House, the indoor areas of the Terrace Café, Woodland Wonderland, or the Adventure Playground.
For the safety of visitors, wildlife (including our resident deer), and livestock, all dogs must be kept on leads at all times during your visit.
We look forward to welcoming you and your dog to Harewood.
Emmerdale Village Tour
Over the years Harewood has played host to a number of well-known film and TV productions, from documentaries and soaps, to period dramas and the glamour of the big screen. Emmerdale Village, as it is today, was purpose-built in the grounds of Harewood estate in 1997 after the programme’s former location of Esholt became so popular with visitors that filming scenes became impossible!
